Album currently has 3 songs, a dollar a piece, 5 for everything, however I plan to just keep adding to this one album, until, say... 10 tracks at least?

Please try not to get offended as I'm actually attempting to be polite right now. I have a tendency to ramble and just say whats on my mind. Pay no attention, I'm just a dick like that.

Your list is pretty biased as well as more than a little ignorant.
The following is my own list countering both of yours.

Your own definition of DAW is stated as "a system that records, edits and plays back digital audio". While I could not agree more with your assessment of what a modern DAW is I do feel it important to point out that Reason is not capable of recording or editing digital audio.
The quality of Reason's sound is completely subjective. For the purpose of remaining unbiased and giving a real breakdown on the pros and cons of these two programs, you really should avoid making comments like this. That is if you really want to give advice to someone. Simply by saying this you've essentially told the world that everything else out there is utter shit since Reason is the be all and end all of sound creation.
I AM a fan of Reason's instruments however I find it foolish to say that in the 10 years since its creation, none of the literally THOUSANDS of similar VA VSTi's released can touch Subtractor on sound.
I won't argue with you about the difference in over all quality regarding stock content. Actually I have it on very good authority that IL themselves are pretty fed up with their stock content and want to improve on it. However there are a few things to consider here.
FL is primarily distributed via download, so size matters. They just cannot bundle multi GB sound libraries with every demo download or purchase.
Secondly would be the quality of Reason's own stock content. Its been around for almost a decade now. If you really believe that this hasn't lead to a "Reason sound" I can only assume you're lying to yourself or you just aren't paying attention.
You indicate that there is a lot of aftermarket content for purchase with Reason. This is true and they're of high quality. However I fail to see how this is any less true for FLStudio. Image-Line may not have bothered giving them a cool nickname or wrapping them in a protected file, but the content at SampleFusion as well as pretty much everything else out there that isn't a refill (or LivePack) is ripe for use within FL.
Mac support is only important if you own a Mac. Mac users shouldn't be hunting down info on FL anymore than PC users looking up Logic. Unless they plan to switchback to Windows, in which case why is Mac support important?
FL & Reason both implement MIDI finely, albeit differently. If one were superior however I would have to give FL the win as its capable of controlling external gear. Reason lacks MIDI out.
This probably has a lot to do with Reason's lack of audio input/recording as well.
If you feel MIDI out is not important than I am curious why you feel Reason's emulation of CV & audio cables is such a Pro.
FL is not skinnable. Image-Line removed support for 3rd party skins many many versions ago. The fact people spend time HACKING graphic files is not a con. No one is forcing you to install them.
FL has a full drum machine (FPC) that is vastly expanded in regards to ReDrum. If you just have to have that x0x-style sequencer though, may I suggest you look at the step sequencer. FL is essentially the most tricked out drum machine in the universe.
FL supports ReWire, DX and VST protocols. Not just as a host, but as an instrument as well. This means you can load it into Live or Cubase if you so desire.
FL has 99 mixer channels, not including the 4 dedicated Sends and the Master. Each of those 99 channels can load up to 8 DX/FL/VST effect plugins. Each of those 99 channels can also be sent to and from one another creating any combination of send effects your mind can come up with. You may also save channels as a preset, effects and their state all captured to bring into another track at any point.
Who uses 99 separate stereo channels in one mix anyway?
Reason's limit is your CPU. Its easy to say the software isn't limited when what constitutes a limit will change per system and per track. You may very well be able to load more than 99 mixer channels in Reason (by my count you'll need at least 7 14:1 Mixers and 1 6:1 LineMixer) however only the hardware its running on will determine how well it can make use of a set up like this.
Please define advanced sampling. FL can be used along with Recycle just as Reason can and FL now includes two possibilities in regards to Rex files; Slicer & SlicEx. I could spend time arguing about how either one matches or beats Dr. Rex but to be honest I'm still scratching my head over "advanced sampling". What is advanced about rearranging a drum loop?

I could probably go on and make my own list of Pros and Cons but I think I've said enough on this subject for now.

DIY Keyboard Stand

I managed to slap together a keyboard stand for my ESQ-1 & and (in the future) my Poly 800.

Really its just a simple wood table. I had found links on Google for a few things that could be made out of PVC pipe, but found most of it unsuitable for what I wanted. All in all I only spent about 30 bucks in wood & screws, which still saves me a good deal of cash for the ready made "pro" jobs out there. Plus I was able to fit in a place for my Harmochord and built a simple box to sit my EA-1 on an angle.

I need a line mixer. Ultimately I want to get something close to the Mackie MS1202, or maybe something similar from Tascam. Although I've looked into buying one of the old Portastudios. Supposedly bouncing a track to tape before further processing in the PC can give some nice results. Either way I'm looking into it.

If anyone has a cheap mixer they'd like to give away though... please, contact me!

I bought a new toy. Its a "Harmochord" by Kostler & Co. No fucking clue what that means, but its pretty bad ass.
Some sort of old organ. I'm trying to figure out a date on this thing. Looks old.

Its called a "Magnus Organ"

Its powered by an electric fan that blows the air through these reeds, much like having one big ass harmonica... very neat.

As well, I currently have an Ensonique ESQ-1 synthesizer in the mail. This little baby is 8 voice polyphonic/multi-timbral, and features 3 wavetable DCOs and an analogue filter.

So for the past few years I've had a slight interest in building my own instrument. It started with wanting to just customize an old guitar, to creating my own synths and modulars in software, to discovering the existence of circuit bending and RG's book detailing several starter projects.

However, due to my unfailing ability to not follow through with anything, I've never actually got around to any of these.

Recently I discovered another "I Wanna" project, and this one might actually pan out. However its going to require me getting a crash course of sorts in sodering and electronics, which is probably why its a good thing my girlfriends dad is so well read, cause I know jack shit myself to start.

I want to build my own SoundLab MiniSynth (read about this project at its creators website http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/ ). I'm not sure what I'll do with it, but it just looks so appealing. But before I buy the board and the parts, I want to spend the time to learn a bit more about soldering, and how to not fuck it up.

I'm going to start by messing about with this project discovered on YouTube, mainly cause its cheap, and easy, and requires no skill at all;

and hope to move on to testing out the Moog Slayer mod on my beloved Poly-800.

I Knew I'd Forgotten Something

And it turned out to be this blog. God damned Facebook has ruined me. At first I hated the damn thing, it was like MySpace Light, and then I realized that I liked it because it was MySpace Light.

Less kids, less pedophiles wanting to rape kids, less idiot bands trying to add me, less porno whores trying to add me and get me to buy their panties, pretty much less of the shit I hate.

A simple site I can use to keep in touch with family, friends, coworkers, and update them all on my mood and my girlfriend's cats.

Still no real place to showcase my tunes (if I ever get any) yet, but I guess thats what this was supposed to be. I'll have to figure out hosting too, but soon enough I hope to be using something other than this little template (nice as it is) and something more personal.

Might get hosting with a friend from work. I'll have to let you all know.

After avoiding it for years, I've finally landed with a blog.

Essentially, I'm tired of MySpace and its "friend" prerogative. I have no desire to trade contacts with other people simply looking to get bigger lists. I'm just looking for a place to easily link to my tunes when I feel obliged to share, and nothing more. Considering I like the look of most of these pages, and their neat and pretty faces, I figured I couldn't really go wrong.

Anywho, when I have more to share or post I will.

For now I'm resting up, fighting off a bad case of the flu, watching reruns of Law & Order. Another 9/11 episode. My temp is still pretty high, but my throat seems to be better for now.
